Portland Streetcar


Streetcars run on three lines: the NS (North-South) Line, the A Loop, and the B Loop.

The NS Line is a 4-mile route from Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital at NW 23rd Avenue, through the Pearl District, Portland State University, and OHSU, to a terminus in the South Waterfront District. View a map of the route and schedules here.

The A & B Loops connect Downtown to the Central Eastside via two crossings of the Willamette River - the Broadway Bridge to the north, and the Tilikum Crossing to the south. View a map of the route and schedules here.

Adult (18-64) Pricing:

Streetcar Only (2.5 Hour): $2.00

Streetcar/TriMet All Day: $5.00

Streetcar Only Monthly Pass: $40.00

Streetcar Only Annual Pass: $440.00

Honored Citizen (65+, people on medicare, and people with a disability) and Youth (7-17 and students in high school or pursuing a GED) Pricing:

Streetcar/TriMet HC/Youth (2.5 Hour) $1.00

Streetcar Only HC/Youth Monthly Pass $20.00

Streetcar Only HC/Youth Annual Pass $220.00

 

PURCHASING FARES:

There are a number of options for purchasing Streetcar Fares:

  • On-board the Streetcar via a ticket vending machine
  • On the Streetcar platform via a ticket vending machine
  • Through the Mobile Ticketing App
  • At the South Waterfront Community Relations Retail Office: 3715 SW River Parkway

As of January 2018, Portland Streetcar will be transitioning to the Hop Fastpass, a reloadable fare card. We have these available for sale and are able to reload them for you at the SWCR Office. For more information about the Fastpass, visit www.myhopcard.com. Monthly and Annual passes will not be sold after January 2018.

 

Fare Information:

  • Have your ticket available to show Streetcar personnel if asked.
  • Proof of valid fare is required to ride on Portland Streetcar under Portland City Code 14A.110.
  • All TriMet tickets and passes are honored on the Streetcar.
  • C-TRAN All-Zone or Express fare tickets and passes are honored on the Streetcar.
  • The Annual Streetcar Pass is valid on the Portland Aerial Tram.
  • Portland Streetcar assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged passes.
  • Reproduction of annual passes is illegal; laminating is not allowed.

Location

Annual passes, monthly passes, 10-Book Passes, and Hop Fastpasses are sold by South Waterfront Community Relations at our office location in The Ardea building: 3715 SW River Parkway, Portland, OR 97239. Office hours are 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. You can also purchase passes at the South Waterfront Farmers Market, Thursdays, 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm, June - October. The market is located at Elizabeth Caruthers Park, 3508 SW Moody Avenue, Portland, OR 97239. Visit the Information Booth to buy passes. Sales are cash only.
