Our story
The South Waterfront Farmers Market, founded in 2012, and managed by South Waterfront Community Relationsโa 501 (c) (3) nonprofitโis a mid-size neighborhood evening market with the aim to make connections between farmers and urban community members in a dynamic and lively market setting. The market is a place to relax and shop for fresh, local, seasonal produce and artisanal goods before your after-work commute, or a place to wind down with your neighbors and listen to live music after coming home to the district for the evening.
Summer Hours/Location
Stop by every Thursday, June through October, 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm for our summer season (please note that we close at 6:00 pm during the month of October due to the lack of daylight).
The market is located at Elizabeth Caruthers Park in the South Waterfront neighborhood of Portland, Oregon, at 3508 S Moody Avenue. See it on Google Maps!
Winter Hours/Location
Our Winter Farmers Market takes place from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm on the second Thursday of the month November - December.
Our 2024 Winter Market Dates are: November 14 & December 12
The Food
The quality, taste, and manner of production of vegetables, fruit, meat, hot food, and other goods at the market is of utmost importance to us.

Market Map
Good news! The days of roaming around the market for your favorite berry vendor or that perfectly-baked apple pie are over.
Just check out our interactive, up-to-date Market Map of the entire South Waterfront Farmers Market each Thursday.
Dogs at the Market
Friendly dogs and their well-trained owners are welcome at the market. If crowds stress out your furry best friend, please do your pet a favor and let him or her sit this one out.
Pay attention to your pets and keep them next to you on a 4-foot lead (or closer). Owners who allow their dogs to wander about at the end of a retractable leash cause a potential tripping hazard.
