How To Pay
The South Waterfront Farmers Market accepts the following forms of payment:
Cash
All vendors accept cash; there is an ATM machine directly across the street from the market at Umpqua Bank. There is also a credit union ATM machine on the first floor of the OHSU Center for Health & Healing.
DEBIT/CREDIT CARDS
Many vendors accept credit/debit cards directly, through Square. We recommend inquiring first at the vendor’s booth.
However, you can use your debit or credit cards to purchase market tokens at the Information Booth. The tokens come in $5.00 increments plus a $1.50 transaction fee. Use these tokens like cash at any vendor booth. There is no expiration date on tokens but please note that tokens are not transferable to other farmers markets.
SNAP (Oregon Trail Card)
Use your EBT/Oregon Trail cards to purchase market tokens at the Information Booth. The EBT tokens come in $1.00 increments; there is no transaction fee. These tokens may be used to purchase only food that is meant to be consumed at home.
This means that customers may NOT use $1 EBT/SNAP tokens to purchase alcohol, body care products such as soap, pet foods, hot food, or foods meant to be consumed onsite.
There is no expiration date on tokens. *Please note: tokens are not transferable to other farmers markets.
SNAP Matching (double up food bucks)
Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB) is a program that matches SNAP benefits at The South Waterfront Farmers Market.
SNAP participants get up to a $20 match each market day to spend on fresh fruits and veggies! They are not refundable, but can be saved to spend on another market day.
Use them before they expire December 31!
WIC and Senior Farm Direct Nutrition Program (FDNP):
Several of our farmers participate in the Farm Direct Nutrition Program (FDNP) and Women, Infants, and Children Program (WIC). Stop by the Information Booth to learn more!
