Community Garden committee

The original South Waterfront Community Garden was established in 2009 by a committee of dedicated residents along with South Waterfront Community Relations. The vacant lot just south of Atwater Place, known as Block 37, became home to one hundred plus garden beds until the spring of 2014 when construction started on a new mixed-use apartment building (The Osprey). In 2014, the Community Garden Committee worked with OHSU to relocate the garden to Block 33, where the community garden still is located to this day.

The Community Garden Committee helps oversee 55 beds, organize community building events throughout the year, and makes the community garden into a vibrant place for the neighborhood to enjoy.
